Day 17 - I AM Wise

“Never mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you make a living; the other helps you make a life.” -Sandra Carey

>

Wisdom is described as more valuable than gold and more precious than silver—something worth pursuing with intention. But that raises an important question:

Where does wisdom come from—and how do you actually gain it?

Wisdom doesn’t come from age alone. It doesn’t come from position, titles, or information. Wisdom begins with a teachable spirit—a willingness to learn from every experience, not just the successful ones.

Every moment carries a lesson if you’re paying attention.

Wisdom grows when we admit we don’t know everything. It deepens when we’re humble enough to learn from others—especially those we disagree with. Perspective expands when we stop defending our viewpoint long enough to consider another.

Think about someone you would describe as wise.

What sets them apart?

Is it how they listen?

How they respond under pressure?

How they choose their words?

In today’s challenge video, I’ll share three defining characteristics of someone who lives with wisdom.

Here’s a practical way to grow wiser starting today:

Find someone you consider wise and spend time around them. Listen more than you speak. Ask questions before offering answers.

Wisdom is often caught, not taught.

Remember this:

With a closed mouth, you can catch wisdom.

With an open mouth, you can catch flies.

Today’s declaration is an invitation to posture your heart differently:

I AM WISE.

Stay curious. Stay humble. Keep learning.

It’s a common belief that happiness leads to gratitude.

But what if it’s actually the other way around?

Today’s challenge invites you to slow down and rethink gratitude at a deeper level.

🎥 Watch this TED Talk by Brother David Steindl-Rast:

TED Talk on gratitude

In this short but powerful talk, Brother David reframes gratitude—not as a reaction to life going well, but as a choice that transforms how we experience life itself. His perspective challenges the idea that we wait to be happy before we’re grateful, and instead invites us to see gratitude as the doorway to joy, resilience, and wisdom.

As you watch, consider this question:

How might your daily experience change if gratitude became your starting point—not your conclusion?

Take an extra minute after watching and share your thoughts in The Limitless Leader community. Your insight may be exactly what someone else needs to hear today.

Now, take 30 seconds and text, email, or write a note to one person you are grateful for.

Encourage them.

Bless them.

Thank them for the impact they’ve had on your life.

Gratitude grows when it’s practiced—and it multiplies when it’s shared.
