Let’s talk about something we don’t always want to admit. We say we’re “waiting on God”—but are we really?
Or are we just hesitating… in a way that looks spiritual?
The truth is, not all waiting is obedience. Some of it is fear. Some of it is comfort dressed up as discernment. And some of it is resistance wearing the mask of wisdom. We say we need more clarity, but often, we’re stalling because the last instruction felt too costly. It required faith. It required risk. It required letting go of control.
Here’s the truth:
God isn’t silent. He’s just waiting on you to move on to what He already said.
That lingering feeling you have—that prompting you’ve tried to rationalize away—that was the step. And you’re still standing at the last door He told you to walk through, waiting for a new one to open.
But revelation follows obedience.
So… what’s really going on?
Ask yourself:
- Am I waiting on a new word, or avoiding the last one?
- Am I calling fear “patience” to avoid the discomfort of faith?
- Am I asking for more details when I haven’t even started?
You don’t need the full plan. You just need the courage to take the step that’s already been revealed.
Let’s be clear:
Delayed obedience is still disobedience.
And while God is full of grace, He doesn’t skip the process. Growth happens in motion. And if we’re constantly waiting until it’s “safe” or “certain” before we move, we’ll never experience the fruit that comes from faith.
How to Discern Real Obedience vs. Passive Waiting
✅ Obedience moves even when the outcome isn’t clear ❌ Waiting waits for a guarantee
✅ Obedience walks through open doors without overthinking ❌ Waiting paces the hallway waiting for a second invitation
✅ Obedience trusts God’s voice more than our fears ❌ Waiting keeps asking for signs when faith is already enough
You weren’t created to stay still
You were Born Limitless, which means you already have what it takes to walk in the assignment. And yes, you’ll have to do it without seeing everything ahead. That’s called trust.
If you’re feeling stuck, it’s not because you’re incapable. It’s because you’re waiting when you were supposed to be moving.
You don’t need more time. You need more trust.
