You can indeed succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed. - Napoleon Hill
Servant leadership sounds inspiring—and it is. It’s noble. It’s powerful. It’s countercultural.
But let’s be honest: it’s also costly.
Serving without expecting anything in return goes against everything our world trains us to do. We’re taught to protect our time, guard our resources, and look for the return on investment. Yet authentic leadership has never been about what you gain—it’s about who you lift.
Paul captured this tension perfectly as he prepared to leave Ephesus. He reminded the church of how they were called to live, saying, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Not as a suggestion—but as a way of life.
Here’s the truth most of us don’t like to admit:
We often prefer being served over serving.
Because serving costs us something.
Time. Energy. Money. Comfort. Convenience.
Sometimes even our pride.
That’s exactly why it’s so powerful.
When you choose to serve, you step outside yourself. You shift the focus from “me” to “we.” You move from consumption to contribution—and that’s where real leadership is formed.
Think about this for a moment:
Has anyone ever served you selflessly—without strings attached?
How did it make you feel?
Seen. Valued. Strengthened. Lifted.
That’s the impact of a servant.
Today, in the 60-second video and challenge, we’re making a clear declaration: I am a servant.
But declarations only matter when they’re lived out.
So here’s the real question for Day 9:
What action will you take today—not just to believe this declaration, but to beLIVE it?
Leadership isn’t proven by position. It’s revealed by service.
Choose to serve today—and watch how it reshapes both your influence and your heart.
